Job summary

BIOVIA, a Dassault Systèmes company, is seeking an AI Scientific Software Developer to advance MARIE, the AI-powered companion inside PIPELINE PILOT for scientists. This hybrid onsite role is ideally based in San Diego, CA.

You will design prompts, build agentic AI workflows, ensure safety, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile practices. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Life Sciences or CS, 3+ years of software development in AI/ML, and strong

Qualifications

PhD in Life Sciences or Computer Science with 3+ years software development experience.
Strong grasp of LLM fundamentals and context windows.
Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, semantic search, vector databases.
Prompt engineering, evaluation, and optimization experience.
Hands-on with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, DeepAgents).
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop MARIE AI-powered companion within BIOVIA products, Pipeline Pilot.
Design, test, and iterate on prompts to improve reasoning and user experience.
Build and orchestrate agentic AI workflows with tool calls and memory management.
Implement safeguards for safety, reliability, and ethical grounding.
Collaborate across engineering, QA, product marketing, and services.
