PG&E is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage modern data and database infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and AzureLocal. You will oversee cloud storage services, data pipelines, and AI-enabled automation, with deployment via Terraform and Azure DevOps.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2 years of hands-on infrastructure, systems administration, cloud operations, database support, or related IT functions.
• 1 year of experience supporting cloud technologies and infrastructure automation.

• Build, test, and deploy data solutions and pipelines for relational databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Build and implement data integrity, data cleansing, and data retention processes.
• Create and manage data objects within cloud storage services.
• Collect, review, and analyze data to support operational reliability and performance optimization.
• Partner with application teams to identify, analyze, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code modules and reusable deployment patterns for databases, storage, networking, monitoring, backup configuration, replication, and environment promotion.
• Support database and storage migrations to cloud-native architectures, including assessment and post-migration optimization.
• Provide project support for Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases in production and non-production environments.
