Job summary

Phizenix is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to own AI productization, governance, and platform engineering. You will lead the design of scalable AI services, security, and internal tooling while mentoring teams across domains.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Security, Legal, and Compliance to ensure SOC2/ISO-aligned controls and robust data handling. Hybrid work arrangement with travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, data science, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks and Python, with hands-on cloud deployment experience.
• Experience designing and operating multi-tenant AI services and LLM integrations in production.
• Proven track record leading microservices architectures and CI/CD for distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on command of Docker, Terraform, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and own AI productization and governance playbooks for patterns, security, and evaluation rubrics.
• Build reusable internal tooling for AI services, evaluation, monitoring, and data infra.
• Establish AI governance policies for agent permissions and data classification.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and mentor engineers to improve delivery and production readiness.
