Job summary

N2P Systems in Nashville/Tampa hybrid role seeks an Applied AI Engineer with 3–5 years in software engineering and hands-on AI experience. You will design, build, test, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications, integrating LLMs and leveraging RAG and vector databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, DS, ML or related field.
• 3–5 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year building AI/ML or Generative AI apps.
• Strong Python, Java/C#, Node.js, React/Angular, or SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience with RAG, vector DBs, and semantic search.
• 1+ year cloud-native engineering with Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Familiarity with REST, OOP, data structures, algorithms.
• Testing, version control, and code quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and AI-powered solutions.
• Integrate LLMs from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source platforms.
• Develop and support Generative AI apps using RAG, prompt engineering, and vector DBs.
• Build APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps using modern languages/frameworks.
• Participate in design, requirements, code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools for code generation, debugging, testing, reviews, and documentation.
• Explore and implement agentic AI workflows using LangChain and LangGraph.
• Support automated deployments and CI/CD quality, security, testing checks.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements.
• Follow best practices for code quality, scalability, security, performance, maintainability.
• Participate in rapid prototyping and experimentation to validate AI solutions.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and trade-offs effectively.
