Job summary

Platinum Technologies in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced AI Developer with Data Science expertise to design, build, and deploy intelligent solutions across multi-cloud, multi-platform environments. The role blends hands-on AI/ML engineering with data science rigor and requires choosing the right cloud, platform, and model for each problem.

You will work in a hybrid team, stay current with AI technologies, and ensure security and governance in a Public Trust context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of experience developing AI/ML solutions, with data science experience.
• Hands-on experience across at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with multiple AI/ML model types or providers and abstraction layers.
• Strong programming skills in Python with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Data engineering basics: SQL, data pipelines, data warehousing/lakes.
• Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance; ability to pass background check.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a hybrid team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI models and applications across multi-cloud, multi-platform environments.
• Collaborate to preprocess, clean, and analyze large datasets for model development and evaluation.
• Implement ML/DL algorithms to build production-ready AI solutions.
• Fine-tune AI models to improve performance and efficiency for use cases.
• Integrate AI models into production systems with reliability and scalability.
• Document code, architecture decisions, data sources, dependencies, and retraining procedures.
• Stay current with AI technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data governance in a Public Trust context.
