Job summary

Zebra Technologies seeks a highly technical Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDE) to work directly with customers. You will lead deployment of Zebra AI products, engineer customized solutions, and resolve complex technical challenges to drive product success.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams, guide development of core solutions addressing customer pain points, and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines. Travel is required, with hybrid work options in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's; 5+ years with an Advanced Degree.

Responsibilities

• Works on-site or with customer teams to remove blockers and guide adoption.
• Designs and tests AI-driven software for deployments in customer environments.
• Leads AI software projects from scope to objective definitions.
• Architects AI-driven systems aligned with goals and standards.
• Maintains and deploys AI-powered apps on Edge devices and Android platforms; builds data pipelines to on-prem servers.
