Job summary

Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. seeks an AI Data & Security Governance Engineer to build governance-as-code guardrails across data platforms and ML deployments in Hillsboro, OR.

You will design automated security controls, manage data access infrastructure, and integrate governance checks into CI/CD pipelines to keep models secure and compliant. This hybrid role requires 5+ years in software, data, or security engineering, with strong Python/SQL, and experience with AI/ML Ops, IAM, and cloud

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Security, AI Engineering/Governance, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of software, data, or security engineering experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with AI/ML Ops deploying and securing machine learning models (including generative AI/LLMs).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with DevOps & Automation CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Governance platforms such as Collibra, Immuta, Privacera.

Responsibilities

• Automate access controls using granular RBAC across cloud infrastructure.
• Build data masking, anonymization, and encryption into pipelines.
• Secure distributed storage and ensure secure configurations across compute and DBs.
• Hardening Cloud IAM, secret management, and zero-trust data access patterns.
• Architect secure vector databases with tenant isolation and filtering.
• Integrate security scanning, model evaluation, and safety checks into CI/CD workflows.
