Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an Enterprise AI & Data Controls Manager in a hybrid role to design, test, and oversee controls across the AI and data governance lifecycle. You will partner with multiple stakeholders to strengthen control effectiveness, drive remediation, and ensure audit-ready data and AI usage.

The role requires five+ years in risk management or governance, strong understanding of AI risks, and experience with GRC platforms such as Archer.

Qualifications

• Five years of related work experience in risk management, controls, compliance, audit, or governance.
• Hands-on understanding of AI, model, or data risk/governance, and knowledge of frameworks like NIST AI RMF or EU AI Act.
• Experience designing or testing controls within a GRC platform (e.g., Archer).
• Excellent leadership and analytical skills with ability to operate in ambiguity.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and testing of AI and data controls across the AI / data lifecycle.
• Provide expert consultation on AI and data risk, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen control alignment.
• Lead development of management reporting on AI/data control health and issues using Archer.
• Build cross-functional relationships and translate risk concepts for stakeholder guidance.
• Educate crew on AI/data risk topics and stay current on regulatory developments.
