Job summary

Seward & Kissel LLP seeks an AI Solutions Automation Engineer to design, architect, and deliver AI-driven automation within the Microsoft 365 environment, focusing on Copilot-based automation, Copilot Studio agents, Power Automate workflows, and SharePoint/OneDrive knowledge solutions.

The role emphasizes practical delivery, technical architecture, and build quality, with the expectation to mentor a junior engineer over time and ensure production-ready solutions that meet security and compliance

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in enterprise software engineering, automation, or solutions architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 automation and extensibility, including Power Automate and SharePoint/OneDrive.
• Experience designing and delivering solutions in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments (e.g., law firm, professional services, financial services).
• Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, workflow design, and system integration.
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-driven workflow automation using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft Graph.
• Architect human-in-the-loop automation that preserves appropriate review, approval, and professional judgment for legal workflows.
• Develop reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and implementation standards to support scalable delivery.
• Own technical quality for delivered solutions, including testing, validation, and issue remediation.
• Troubleshoot integration, data access, and workflow issues across Microsoft 365 services.
• Provide limited post-deployment support and iteration for approved solutions.
• Mentor and train a junior automation engineer over time, establishing clear build standards and best practices.
