Job summary

Elevance Health seeks a Distinguished AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale AI systems enabling enterprise-wide modernization. You will drive distributed architectures, AI-enabled SDLC practices, and set technical direction across teams.

The role requires deep expertise in AI/ML at scale, strong Python/Java programming, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and DevOps. In-office 3 days per week with hybrid options and flexible location within commuting

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
15+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems and large-scale architecture.
Production-grade AI/ML systems experience with agentic or LLM-based applications.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and deployment of large-scale AI systems for enterprise modernization.
Define enterprise AI direction, architecture patterns, and platform capabilities.
Mentor engineers and partner with stakeholders to drive AI adoption and system performance.
