Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Lone Tree, CO seeks a Software Test Engineer II to develop and execute detailed test plans for complex aerospace and defense systems, including system and component testing. You will analyze data, report results, and collaborate with engineering to refine test requirements.

Required: BS in Engineering or related field, 2+ years in test engineering, familiarity with Linux, requirements management, and V&V activities. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
• Proficient understanding of test and evaluation principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, networking, and testing microservice-based web architectures.
• Exposure to Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
• Ability to read schematics and use test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for complex systems.
• Conduct system, sub-system, and component-level testing, including functional, performance, and environmental tests.
• Analyze test data and report results clearly.
• Identify, document, troubleshoot, and facilitate resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with engineering to refine test requirements and methodologies.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
• Prepare and present test content and briefs.
