Job summary

Children’s Home & LSS, LLC is seeking an Adoption Worker for the Greater MN/Northern MN region. The role focuses on home studies, licensing guidance, and post-placement support for foster care and adoption cases across Minnesota.

A strong preference is shown for candidates with a social work degree and licensure tracks. The position offers a hybrid workplace, flexible scheduling to support families, and opportunities for supervision and professional growth within a mission‑driven nonprofit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field required; Master’s degree encouraged.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in writing and documentation.
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assess Family Readiness: Write home studies, guide families through licensing, provide post-placement supervision and support.
• Family Engagement: Build trusting relationships with families and youth throughout permanency and placement.
• Advocacy & Permanency Planning: Advocate for children’s best interests and help families navigate permanency options.
• Collaboration: Partner with county and tribal agencies, schools, and community resources for comprehensive support.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold standards.
• Placement Support: Provide ongoing support to families and children before, during, and after placement.
• Team-Based Learning & Reflection: Engage in supervision and peer learning to improve practice.
• Cultural Humility & Inclusive Practice: Respect diverse identities and backgrounds in care.
