Job summary

Great American Insurance Group invites motivated actuarial students for a Summer 2027 internship at our Cincinnati headquarters. You will work with pricing, reserving, and analytics teams, applying Excel, SQL, Python, and R to real-world data projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics, with at least one exam passed and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. This hybrid internship provides hands-on experience in property & casualty analytics and data visualization.

Qualifications

• Excel proficiency at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Passed at least one actuarial exam.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist actuarial teams with pricing and reserving tasks.
• Develop and maintain data analyses and reports using Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
• Create data visualizations and summaries for stakeholder reviews.
• Support data cleaning and database queries in Snowflake.
