Job summary

Securian Financial is seeking an Actuarial Consultant within the Modeling Development Team. You’ll work on actuarial modeling across Individual Life products, collaborating with internal partners, and applying modeling standards to ensure governance and accuracy.

The role may flex between development and reviewer duties based on experience. The base pay range is competitive and varies with qualifications; hybrid work is offered.

Responsibilities

• Understand partners' products, markets, responsibilities, and objectives.
• Build modeling expertise (Prophet) to support development and governance of models across products.
• Serve as a modeling liaison to partners and advise on strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improved results and capabilities through modeling.
• Evaluate impacts of complex model changes and communicate to stakeholders.
• Contribute to a collaborative environment emphasizing curiosity and teamwork.
• Apply modeling standards to models following Modeling Principles and practice.
