Job summary

Symetra is hiring an Actuarial Associate III to support annuity valuation model development, data modernization, and automation. You will contribute to model maintenance, upgrades, and risk governance while collaborating across teams to implement efficient data pipelines.

The role offers flexible full-time or hybrid telecommuting with competitive benefits and a path toward ASA through ongoing exam progress. Expect a strong emphasis on collaboration and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with strong quantitative background including college level mathematics.
• 2 to 6 years of actuarial modeling and/or actuarial data steward experience.
• 5 to 7 actuarial exams, close to ASA.
• Experience with Python, Snowflake and/or other actuarial modeling software.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Regular model maintenance for product specs update.
• Contribute to actuarial model development including version upgrades and automation.
• Support model risk management initiatives, including documentation and governance.
• Support actuarial data modernization initiatives and data pipelines.
