Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support ACH payment processing. This hybrid role is based in Buffalo, NY, working with COBOL, JCL, and CICS in production and development.

You will optimize batch processing with CA7, DB2/VSAM data, and ensure accuracy and timely settlements in a critical payments environment. Collaboration with business analysts and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mainframe development and support experience.
• Proficient in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS.
• Experience with CA7 scheduling and related mainframe technologies.
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Buffalo, NY with ability to work on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications for ACH origination, receipt, processing and settlement.
• Write, enhance, and maintain COBOL programs, JCL and supporting components across the ACH portfolio.
• Work with DB2 and VSAM data structures, including data access design and batch processing tuning.
• Develop and maintain CICS online components for payment inquiry, exception handling, and operations functions.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch cycles using CA7; resolve failures/abends within processing windows.
• Provide production support for ACH applications, including root cause analysis and defect resolution.
• Analyze ACH file formats, NACHA rules, and return/exception processing; translate to designs.
• Collaborate with business analysts, operations, and downstream teams to ensure changes are tested and released properly.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews, change management and audits.
