Benesch is seeking an Accounting Manager in Cleveland for a hybrid role combining hands-on accounting with leadership. You will drive close processes, financial reporting, and control governance while developing talent across the firm.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a track record of operational excellence in a professional services environment. A discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is required.
• CPA or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of accounting experience with financial reporting and close management.
• Direct people-management experience of at least three years is required.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes with clear ownership.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, internal controls and policy adherence across offices.
• Mentor accounting staff, provide performance feedback and succession planning.
• Partner with HR and management on talent development and organizational change.
