Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte seeks an Accounting Specialist to join the CCS division. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely, accurate accounting and reporting under a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, AR review, revenue recognition, reserve management, and regulatory reporting support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business field.

Responsibilities

• Support the month end closing & reporting processes to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
• Complete timely account reconciliations and ensure their quality complies with Carrier standards.
• Quarterly review of open AR and recording allowance for bad debt and dispute reserve per policy, preparation of the supplemental and account reconciliations.
• Sales Incentive Accounting including monthly accruals for all programs, reconciliation of accruals, payouts and recording any necessary true ups.
• Manage key reserves including the Warranty reserve transferred from Applied, the EAC loss reserve by reviewing open projects with negative margin and adjusting the reserve based on the total estimated project costs; and calculating the Net Asset Exposure to reverse revenue recognized on overbilled dormant projects.
