Job summary

Alera Group in Los Angeles is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support accounts receivable, process commission transactions, and maintain accurate records within AgencyBloc. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with strong Excel and MS Office

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; coursework in Accounting/Finance/Business preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and time-sensitive information professionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable activities and maintain accurate commission transaction records.
• Process and balance daily commission transactions within AgencyBloc.
• Review and classify revenue transactions by subsidiary, general ledger account, class, department, and location.
• Modify and import carrier commission statements from Excel files into AgencyBloc.
• Investigate and resolve commission discrepancies, missing payments, and transaction errors.
• Generate commission reports using AgencyBloc and other reporting tools.
• Collaborate with internal departments to establish and maintain accurate commission split arrangements.
• Provide responsive customer service to agents, carriers, and colleagues regarding commission inquiries.
