Renovo Financial is seeking an Accounting Associate in Chicago, IL, in a hybrid role focusing on bookkeeping, reconciling, and month-end close. You will record cash activity into Sage Intacct, prepare daily banking transmissions for loan closings, construction draws, and accounts payable, and collaborate with the accounting team as the organization grows.

Candidates should have a degree in accounting or 1-2 years of bookkeeping, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (moderate to advanced).
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Record bank activity in the general ledger.
• Input banking templates and payments for approval.
• Process weekly accounts payable run.
• Contribute to month-end closing processes.
• Update deferred revenue recognition based on borrower activity.
• Verify accounting balances for interdepartmental communication.
• Contract, vendor, and expense monitoring.
• Ad hoc activities within accounting or finance.
