Atlantic Group seeks an Accounting Associate for a hybrid NYC role with a long-standing private equity client. You will work closely with VPs, Controllers, and General Partners to support fund operations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities include cash reconciliations, journal entry reviews, audits, tax estimates, and coordinating with a third-party administrator. This role offers strong exposure to a private equity platform in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Accounting VPs on daily fund operations, including reconciling cash and reviewing investment activity.
• Help manage the ongoing financial accounting and administrative needs of private equity fund-of-funds.
• Liaise directly with the third-party fund administrator on routine operational matters.
• Perform a first-level review of quarterly financial statements.
• Conduct an initial review of journal entries and cash reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting books and records for the general partner entities.
• Support preliminary preparation work ahead of the annual audit.
• Assist with tax estimate calculations and return filings.
• Prepare reporting and provide support to the Controller and General Partners.
• Organize, review, and maintain accounting documentation and records.
• Provide broader support to the accounting team as needed.
