Job summary

Stonecroft Ministries, Inc. is seeking a Stonecroft Accounting Associate to join the finance team in a hybrid role in Overland Park, MO. You will manage payables/receivables, reconcile accounts, and support the preparation of financial statements and reports.

The role reports to the Director of Finances and requires 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience, a degree in accounting or related field, and strong Excel/QuickBooks skills.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of recent bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting and finance functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank, credit card statements and receipts; resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budget preparation and tracking.
• Support month-end close and ensure timely reporting.
• File documents, track expenses, and update ledgers.
• Collaborate with departments to provide financial information.
