Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an Accounting Advisor to oversee general ledger accounting and financial reporting for Supply entities in their operating phase. You will lead month-end and year-end close, ensure accurate IFRS-compliant reporting, and partner with FP&A, Business Control, Supply, and Operations.

You will collaborate on variances, internal controls, audits, and budgeting, while supporting cross-functional teams and acting as a backup to the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience in Financial Reporting/Account Reconciliations.
• Hybrid work policy eligibility.
• Experience in Retail Energy industry.
• CPA certified or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting and reporting activities for close processes.
• Support month-end and year-end close; prepare journal entries and intercompany activities.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations for stakeholders.
• Record and reconcile energy transactions, intercompany activity, and supplier invoices; ensure IFRS compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls and act as backup to Accounting Manager.
