Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks an Accountant 2 in the Department of Accounting and Finance to handle monthly fund reconciliations, procurement, and contracts in the PACE system, plus post‑award grant management and expense reconciliation.

The position offers a hybrid remote schedule for OH/IN/KY residents after training. A Bachelor’s in accounting or related field plus two years of accounting experience are required; SAP and advanced Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
Six years of relevant work experience can substitute for education.
Two years of accounting-related work experience required.
Fund accounting experience considered a plus; SAP experience preferred.
Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) expected.

Responsibilities

Maintain account journals, reconcile ledgers/funds, and prepare financial statements.
Perform variance analysis, budgeting support, and internal auditing tasks.
Analyze financial data and prepare management reports and projections.
Post accounting documents and support internal controls.
Oversee inventory controls and liaise with internal/external customers.
Collaborate with faculty on effort allocation and expense compliance.
