Job summary

Maricopa County Public Defender seeks an experienced Accident Reconstructionist and Defense Investigator. You will bridge collision science with courtroom strategy, reconstruct crash sequences, audit findings, and uncover key details to strengthen defense narratives.

Qualifications

• Three years of investigative experience with law enforcement, government, or military.
• Demonstrated experience and training as an Accident Investigator/Reconstructionist.
• CV showing recognition as a court expert in accident investigation/reconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist in reviewing vehicle accident, fatality, and DUI cases.
• Provide expertise in developing defense strategies and case theories.
• Conduct field investigations: vehicle inspections, photos, videotaping, witness statements.
• Update attorneys on progress and recommendations for further actions.
• Interview potential witnesses and gather in-state/out-of-state records as needed.
