Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior 3D drafting professional to model substation components and develop detailed design packages. The role requires extensive experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Inventor to create General Arrangements, equipment plans, and BOMs for high/extra-high voltage projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers, interpret vendor data, and conduct client walkdowns at substations. A hybrid work schedule is offered with relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

• 8 years minimum of 3D substation modeling and physical design experience.
• Proficiency in 3D drafting using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Inventor.
• Familiar with Bentley Substation Design and SDS.
• Ability to visualize substation equipment and create 3D models.
• Able to follow CAD standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers on high/extra-high voltage substation design.
• Prepare General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, and detailed BOMs.
• Incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities.
