Job summary

Hy-Vee in Faribault, MN is seeking a Hy-Chi Department Clerk. You will fill customer orders, prepare and replenish products, and keep the department running smoothly while delivering the friendly service that makes every customer feel welcome.

Greet customers, review orders for the day, maintain a fresh and organized workspace, and assist with checkout when needed. Training is provided to learn Hy-Chi procedures and safety standards in a fast-paced food service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to six months of related experience; training provided.
• Ability to learn Hy-Vee procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Review orders and prepare a production list to ensure adequate food supply.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product as needed and pull from cooler/freezer for cooking.
• Review the status and appearance of food for freshness and maintain quality standards.
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change as applicable.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe at all times.
