Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Hy-Chi Department Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced food department. You will greet customers, take orders, prepare and replenish products, and ensure cleanliness and safety throughout the shift. Training is provided, and night/weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to six months of related experience; training provided.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products; pull from cooler/freezer for cooking.
• Review status/appearance of food for freshness and quality.
• Run the department register, accept payments, and make change.
• Maintain sanitation and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers as needed.
