Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring for a Hy-Chi Department Clerk in Independence, KS. You will greet customers, take orders at the Hy-Chi counter, and assist shoppers throughout the store while ensuring high service standards.

You will review orders, prepare and replenish products, check freshness, and maintain cleanliness and safety. Training will be provided, and the role is hourly with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; training provided.
• Up to six months of similar or related experience.
• Willingness to learn Hy-Vee department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and assist across the Hy-Chi counter.
• Review daily orders and manage production list.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products; pull from cooler for cooking.
• Review food freshness and maintain quality standards during the shift.
• Operate department register and handle payments.
• Maintain sanitation and safety; keep area clean and organized.
