Job summary

Sundt Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy construction equipment.

You will work on backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, trenchers, rollers, scrapers, forklifts and trucks, with welding and cutting torches required. Candidates must have 3+ years in industrial/construction maintenance, read technical publications, and possess strong verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial/construction equipment maintenance.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must own tools.
• Willingness to travel.
• Must have current physical card and CDL or be willing to obtain one.

Job Summary

Be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment to insure safe operation, such as backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and trenchers, rollers, scrapers, forklifts, haul trucks, water trucks and dump trucks. Must have experience with welding and cutting torches.

Minimum Job Requirements

1. Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy construction equipment.
2. Must be able to read and understand technical publications, specifications, safety and quality standards and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
3. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
4. Must have own tools.
5. Must be willing to travel.
6. Must have a current physical card and commercial driver’s license or be willing to get one.

Physical Requirements

1. Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
2. Will climb and maintain balance on stairs and ladders.
3. Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis
4. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
5. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
6. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
7. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
8. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
9. Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas.
10. May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
