Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. invites applicants for a painting operator role in our Portland factory. The position focuses on finishing operations with HVLP spray equipment to apply lacquer and polymer paints to brass and aluminum parts.

Daily tasks include surface prep, hanging parts, and painting, with opportunities to cross-train and support other departments. The role requires at least 1 year of industrial painting experience, knowledge of paint gun setup and maintenance, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1+ year of industrial painting experience.
• Knowledge of 2-part epoxy and lacquer applications preferred.
• Familiarity with air-assisted HVLP and conventional spray systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply coatings using lacquer and polymer paints with HVLP spray equipment.
• Organize, hang, and prepare parts for painting daily.
• Perform paint preparation, sandblasting, grinding, buffing and chemical treatments.
• Comply with safety practices and participate in Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and support other departments as needed.
