Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Maintenance Repair Specialist 1 (HVAC) within Facilities Management. This role performs skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks to keep boilers, air handlers, pumps, and related equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications include four years of progressively responsible experience and a valid Class C driver's license.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience in two or more major building or mechanical trades.
• A valid class C driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be kept current.

Responsibilities

• Maintain water treatment systems and verify operation of pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, valves and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, air handlers, HVAC systems, cooling towers and related equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot boilers, air handlers and related mechanical equipment to restore safe operation.
• Provide maintenance and repair support across plumbing, building systems and structural maintenance; maintain records and reports.
