Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking an HVAC instructor to shape the next generation of HVACR pros. You will lead immersive, hands-on labs, diagnose and repair a wide range of HVACR systems, and create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 4+ years hands-on HVACR experience across refrigeration, commercial HVAC, residential HVAC, mini-splits, boilers, and related systems.
  • EPA 608/Universal and OSHA 10–30 credentials valued.
  • Clear, patient communication skills and ability to connect with diverse learners and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Build an engaging classroom and lab environment that sparks curiosity and confidence in HVACR fundamentals and advanced practices.
  • Lead immersive, hands-on labs so students practice diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVACR systems.
  • Collaborate with the education team to enhance curriculum and develop new course content aligned to current industry standards.
  • Coach and mentor learners on projects, promoting critical thinking and creative problem solving.
  • Champion safety protocols and model best practices to ensure a secure learning space.
