Reports to: Director of Technical Services

General Summary

The Technical Service Advisor (TSA) responds to and troubleshoots technical questions from internal and external customers, covering areas including NJ, PA, MD, and DE.

Responsibilities

1. Interact with manufacturers and promote product improvements.
2. Maintain accurate records of field visits.
3. Visit job sites with dealers as needed.
4. Attend semi-annual Tech Service Advisor meetings.
5. Maintain technical literature.
6. Continue education on new and changing HVACR equipment/products.

Requirements

1. Ability to travel to perform job duties.
2. Proven HVACR experience with troubleshooting skills.
3. Knowledge of electricity, gas, and oil heating equipment.
4. Knowledge of air conditioning, heat pumps, duct design, ventilation, refrigeration, and Hydronics.
5. Ability to size and match equipment accurately.
6. Effective communication skills and ability to teach/clarify technical information.
7. Knowledge of R.E. Michel's major product lines.
8. Ability to maintain accurate records via paper and electronic means.
9. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
