Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an Operational Supervisor of the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Shop. The role provides leadership, manages a team, and coordinates preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, fabrication, and installation to support campus projects.

The position is in person, with a Monday–Friday schedule. The annual salary is $92,500, and applicants must be a Colorado resident.

Qualifications

• 4 years of increasing responsibility in pipe and/or mechanical work.
• HVACR schooling and certification is required.
• Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily scheduling, planning, prioritizing work orders and coordinating with shops and customers.
• Supervise and evaluate staff; support HVACR Facilities Manager with goals and budgeting.
• Manage work orders, timecards, materials, and scheduling to ensure on-time completion.
• Assist in budget development and monitoring, and analyze spending trends.
• Provide project support from planning to commissioning and startup.
