KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced HVACR Service Technician for the Roanoke, Virginia market. This full-time field role offers year-round commercial service work, a company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems while delivering outstanding customer service. Based in Roanoke with travel to customer sites, this position requires 3+ years of HVACR experience, EPA Universal

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVACR service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and MVR review.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work indoors and outdoors, climb, crawl, kneel, squat, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Service equipment including split systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, and other commercial HVACR equipment.
• Diagnose system failures using gauges, meters, and diagnostic instruments.
• Repair and replace components while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret service information and manufacturer recommendations to complete repairs accurately.
• Maintain detailed service documentation and communicate repair recommendations with customers.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while representing the company professionally.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety policies on every jobsite.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as business needs require.

What You’ll Do

Location & Schedule

This position is based in Roanoke, Virginia, with travel to commercial customer locations throughout the surrounding service area. Full-time schedule with 10-hour workdays, overtime opportunities, and participation in an on-call rotation.
