Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is seeking a skilled HVACR Service Technician in Roanoke, VA to maintain and troubleshoot mid-to-large commercial systems. You will diagnose issues, test components, disassemble and repair equipment, and service rooftop units, split systems and DX configurations with a customer-first approach.

This role requires EPA Universal Certification (preferred) and OSHA 10 (preferred), with 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• EPA universal certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
• 3 years of commercial HVACR experience.
• Pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and repair as needed.
• Service split systems, rooftop units, DX systems and related controls.
• Remain focused on customer service during all tasks.

Safety is our #1 priority.Maintain & troubleshoot Commercial HVAC equipment.Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.Service split systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX Systems, etc.Use your HVAC skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.Test & replace parts using appropriate instruments.Remain customer service focused.Experience or Certification needed:EPA universal certification preferred.OSHA 10 preferred.3 years of commercial HVACR experience.You need to be able to:Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.Be punctual and reliable.Work 10-hour days and overtime when necessary.On call availability.Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.Work efficiently in confined spaces.Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.Successfully pass pre-employment drug test, background check, physical, and MVR.Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is the region's leader in HVACR, Electrical, and Plumbing services.
