Job summary

The Furnace Guy Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician in Kalamazoo, MI to perform HVACR installation tasks for commercial and residential customers.

You will work with the Installation Manager and senior staff, applying skills in installation protocols, IAQ services, and unit replacements. Qualified candidates have a post-secondary HVACR program (2+ years) and 1+ year experience, with strong communication, initiative, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and completion of a two+ year HVACR program.
• 1+ years of HVACR experience in service or installation roles.
• Ability to read manufacturers' installation instructions and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
• Physical ability to perform duties in varying weather and conditions.
• Willingness to maintain HVACR skills through training and workshops.
• Potential to develop point-of-service sales techniques for add-ons and IAQ services.

Responsibilities

• Serve on Installation Department teams to perform HVACR installation work efficiently.
• Perform routine HVACR installation activities with minimal on-site oversight.
• Train and assist junior technicians on installation protocols and safety.
• Conduct in-work sales for IAQ services and unit replacements.
• Support IAQ and Service Departments as needed.
• Carry out other duties as directed by the Installation Manager.
