Job summary

UTI Trade School is seeking an HVACR and Electrical Trades Lab Instructor to teach and mentor students in hands-on lab environments.

You will develop and refine lab curriculum with the academic team, model safe work practices, and guide individual student projects to foster critical thinking and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years field experience; teaching time excluded.
• Journeyman/licensed technician or NCCER instructor credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor aspiring technicians in electrical or HVACR labs.
• Develop and refine curriculum with academic team to reflect current codes and tools.
• Model safe work practices and ensure procedures are followed in every lab.
• Guide student projects, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving.
