Commonwealth of Kentucky seeks a Corrections Vocational Instructor to deliver HVAC instruction within a correctional setting at the Department of Corrections, La Grange location. Qualificações

• Graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree.
• Three (3) years of trade-related experience.
• Additional education substitutes for up to two (2) years of experience.
• Additional experience substitutes for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilidades

• Provide targeted instructional vocational services in HVAC to eligible offenders.
• Adhere to curriculums and program requirements (ACA, NCCER, etc.).
• Prepare NCCER Core Curriculum lesson plans and related OSHA content.
• Deliver instruction via distance, virtual, tablets, or smartboard.
• Record attendance in KOMS and enter student data into NCCER database; follow policies.
• Submit monthly reports and maintain inventories of tools and supplies.
• Manage classroom scheduling and daily operations.
• Supervise inmate aides and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Progress monitor achievement and proctor assessments.
• Maintain classroom equipment and handle maintenance tasks.
