Job summary

MTech Mechanical is seeking a medium to high level Mechanical Duct Coordinator to join our Westminster team. The VDC/BIM role focuses on managing the design and coordination process to produce piping construction and detail drawings, ensuring constructability and code compliance.

This position collaborates with Preconstruction, CAD Operations, and Field teams to deliver coordinated documentation. You will lead coordination meetings, mentor staff, and apply proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, CADmep,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience creating detailed mechanical duct and installation drawings.
• Ability to evaluate structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Strong proficiency with Windows, Office, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Model and prepare construction documents for mechanical duct projects with coordination across teams.
• Coordinate with architects, general contractors and other disciplines.
• Layout and design of mechanical duct systems based on sizing and flow calculations.
• QA/QC of design documents against SMACNA standards.
• Train and lead other team members in VDC processes and software use.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate progress with managers and fabrication shops.
