YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Specialist in Portland, Oregon. You will be responsible for the service, design, and configuration of HVAC building control systems, ensuring quality and efficiency in operation and repair.

Job description

What you will do

Under general direction, you will be responsible for the service & repair, design, configuration, and operation of complete HVAC building control systems and other low voltage control sub-systems (i.e., lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the customers and JCI goals. You will be accountable for the quality, timeliness and efficiency of service & repair and designs. Develop complex software programs, commissioning and solving to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, sales and service teams and subcontractors.

How you will do it

Design, configure and service technically complex building control systems for the customer’s facility. Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, schedules and electrical schematics as required. Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per customer facility requirements' intent. Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals, services and/or installation. Select, order and track the delivery of materials for assigned jobs. Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assist in validation of complete system functionality and solve problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. Provide field change information to the team for the creation of as-built drawings and software. Keep management and JCI contractor and customer informed of job progress and issues. Assist in performing site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system. Participate in coordination and release meetings with sales and service operations. Perform value engineering to provide cost‑effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction. May provide work direction to Service Controls Technician I and Senior I and Senior II Controls Technicians. Adhere to safety standards and maintain a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or minimum eight (8) years’ experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or service, or HVAC industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
• Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub‑systems using various industry protocols (i.e., LON, BACnet, etc.)
• Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non‑technical audience
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer‑related drafting tools

HIRING HOURLY RANGE

$36-46 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). This position includes a competitive benefits package.
