We seek skilled Journeymen with experience in residential, light commercial, and/or heavy commercial markets to work with advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment.

Journeymen should be skilled craftsmen with a minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, or mechanical equipment service.
How you will do it:
- Adhere to Johnson Controls' industry-leading safety program.
- Maintain customer relationships through service excellence.
- Manage systems via preventive maintenance contracts.
- Collaborate with customers on repairs and solutions.
- Change and service filters.
- Oil and grease bearings.
- Perform belt adjustments and replacements.
- Conduct cooling tower and condenser maintenance (coils, evaporators, tubes).
- Perform general housekeeping as per customer contract.
- Operate mechanical equipment as necessary per contract.
- Use basic hand tools for maintenance tasks.
- Perform indoor air quality maintenance, including cleaning duct systems and drain pans.
- Transport rigging equipment to and from sites.
- Service products and equipment on luxury yachts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
What we look for:
Requirements
- Mechanical Journeyperson status.
- At least 5 years of experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver's license and appropriate licenses for refrigerants, boilers, and steam operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
- Member in good standing of Local 440 Plumber & Pipefitters.
Assets
- Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus communication protocols.
- Previous technical or installation experience.
