Job summary

Ancora Education in Wyomissing, PA is seeking a Tool Room Assistant to manage the tool room, secure inventory, and handle check-in/out for students and faculty. You will keep tools organized and in good working order while supporting requisitions and inventory control.

Responsibilities include verifying counts, repairing or replacing worn tools, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe, organized workspace with efficient shipping/receiving processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related trades field from an accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of tools.
• Strength and dexterity to perform duties including heavy lifting.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Issues and receives all tools/consumables to students and faculty.
• Verify all tools are accounted for before and after each shift.
• Notify instructors and the supervisor of discrepancies in the check-in/out process.
• Maintain all tools in working order, repair and service broken tools, replace nonfunctional items.
• Assist with requisitioning and acquiring new tools and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
• Keep the tool room clean and well-organized at all times.
• Responsible for shipping and receiving of inventory, equipment, and consumables.
• Maintain effective loss prevention systems, ensuring security of all assets.
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The Tool Room Assistant is responsible for maintaining the security of the tool room inventory and providing for the check-in/out of tools and equipment to students and faculty. The Tool Room Assistant is responsible for maintaining inventory levels and ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and available for use.

Key Responsibilities

Issues and receives all tools/consumables to students and faculty

Verify all tools are accounted for before and after each shift.

Notify instructors and the supervisor of discrepancies in the check-in/out process.

Maintain all tools in working order, repairing and servicing broken/worn tools when appropriate, and removing & replacing nonfunctional tools/equipment.

Assist with requisitioning and acquiring new tools and equipment.

Maintain up-to-date inventory records.

Keep the tool room clean and well-organized at all times.

Responsible for shipping and receiving of inventory, equipment, and consumables

Maintain effective loss prevention systems, ensuring the security of all assigned company assets.

Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Require

Diploma in a related trades field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

Working knowledge of tools

Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job, including heavy lifting

Basic computer skills

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
