Job summary

Bosch is seeking a Test Technician for the Engineering Lab in Norman, OK. The role focuses on designing, testing, and assembling HVAC equipment for light commercial and residential markets, reporting to the Engineering Lab Manager.

The candidate will prepare, install, and test HVAC units; analyze data; operate acquisition software; and adhere to safety procedures. Two plants exist, with this position based in Norman.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with HVAC training.
• At least 2 years HVAC-related experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycle components (compressor, condenser, metering device, evaporator).
• Able to brazing using Oxy/Acetylene.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot controls.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install HVAC test units in the test facility.
• Set up test facilities and connect data acquisition instruments.
• Analyze test data and modify the test unit based on analysis.
• Use computer software to run tests, collect and analyze data.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as required.
