Job summary

Modine Rockbridge Baths is hiring for an HVAC Unit Test Technician on the 2nd or 3rd shift. You will conduct functional tests on finished products, interpret results, document anomalies, and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy.

You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and contribute to process improvements. The role requires 1+ years in manufacturing maintenance, knowledge of refrigeration/air conditioning, and strong reporting and safety discipline.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment preferred.
• Computer and report writing skills essential.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, including proper handling of gases and PPE.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in refrigeration/HVAC would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional tests on finished products based on established procedures
• Interpret test results and diagnose product failures or non-conformance
• Document and report testing results, including anomalies and recommended actions
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve product issues
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring test failures or process inefficiencies
• Engagement in quality investigations and structured problem solving for external complaints and internal concerns.
• Involvement in testing requirements including pressure, evacuation, charging, refrigeration performance, electrical testing, and building test rigs
