Job summary

Odessa College seeks a highly qualified HVAC Technology Adjunct Instructor to join its Continuing Education program on a part-time basis. The role focuses on delivering theory and hands-on lab instruction, preparing courses, and supporting program activities in a dynamic classroom and lab setting.

The ideal candidate brings practical HVAC diagnosis, service and repair experience with a willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends, to support student success and program

Qualifications

• 3 years successful work experience in HVAC diagnosis, service & repair.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide theory & laboratory instruction to students.
• Deliver instruction with course materials, assessments, and teaching aids.
• Maintain safe, efficient classroom and lab operations.

The HVAC program at Odessa College is searching for a highly qualified, self-motivated & team player individual to provide instruction to students. The position requires extensive amount of classroom/laboratory instruction, and course preparation.

Specific Position Duties

• 1. Perform in a highly ethical, honest and lawful manner.
• 2. Provide theory & laboratory instruction.
• 3. Deliver instruction with course materials, assessments, and teaching aids.
• 4. Assist with other program operating duties & responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years successful work experience in HVAC diagnosis, service & repair.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule that will some evening and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Heating & Air Conditioning Technology from an accredited college or university
