Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Houston is seeking an HVAC Technician – Refrigerant Systems & Controls to maintain and optimize refrigerant-based HVAC systems across client facilities. You will service, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on VRF/VRV, chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and RTUs, including related BAS/BMS interfaces.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal), a TDLR Class B HVAC license, and 3–5 years

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
TDLR Class B HVAC license.
3–5 years of hands-on experience with refrigerant-based HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including VRF/VRV systems, chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and rooftop units.
Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, and compressor repairs per EPA and safety standards.
Troubleshoot HVAC electrical components and low-voltage controls; monitor system performance.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document repairs and refrigerant usage.
