Turner Industries is seeking an experienced HVAC Tech for a role in Painesville, OH. The position requires installing, servicing, and repairing air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Qualified candidates will have HVAC certification, EPA 608, 5+ years of field experience (including industrial exposure), and familiarity with RTUs, AHUs, MAUs, heat pumps, and chillers.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification from a technical school.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years field experience with general HVAC troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 2 years industrial field experience; petrochemical experience a plus.
• Experience installing/troubleshooting/repairing RTUs, MAUs, AHUs, heat pumps, and chillers.
• Experience with refrigeration systems.
• Experience with HVAC controls.
• Niagara experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, service and repair HVAC equipment including RTUs, MAUs, AHUs, heat pumps, and chillers.
• Diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns and repair using appropriate instruments.
• Connect motors to control panels and power sources; balance motors for efficiency.
• Install and maintain solar heating and cooling units when applicable.
• Follow procedures and safety requirements; work under supervision as assigned.

Turner Industries Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Tech for a position in Painesville, OH. The Hvac Tech position assembles, installs, services, and repairs air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units used in homes, schools, commercial, and industrial buildings. . Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:

The HVAC technician should have the following credentials.

• HVAC certification from a technical school.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Minimum of 5 years field experience with general HVAC troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 2 years industrial field experience

• Experience installing/troubleshooting/repairing
  • Roof top units (RTU's).

Functional Requirements:

Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, Look at flat drawings or pictures and visualize how they would look as solid objects with height, width, and depth, Perform a variety of duties which may change often, Rate information using measurable standards, Studies building plans and working drawing to determine work aids required and sequence of installations, May measure windows or other existing openings, or cutting through walls, using a mallet, cold chisel, or other tools to install new units, Diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, Test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs, May drill holes to mount units and lift parts into position, Locates and marks position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes for same in walls and floors, using ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob, Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings, using hand tools and power tools, Cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine, Connects motors to control panels and balances motors to insure efficient operation, Connects control panels to power source, May weld holding fixtures to steel structural members, May install and maintain solar heating and cooling units, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Physical Involvement:
