Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital - New Hampshire is seeking a licensed HVAC Technician to maintain and improve the hospital’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and related systems. You will operate, repair, and install critical utility systems to support a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role involves preventative maintenance, on-call coverage, and potential evenings/weekends. Requires 3–5 years of HVAC experience and a valid HVAC license; EPA Universal Certification

Qualifications

• HVAC Technician license is required.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of HVAC Technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and install all utility systems (heating, ventilation, electricity, water, air conditioning and refrigeration) to ensure a safe, comfortable environment.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all utility systems.
• Maintain high standards and appearance of physical plant, mechanical rooms and maintenance shop.
• Act as resource person and fill in on-call in supervisor’s absence.

Schedule

Full Time Days, 40 hours per week, 7a-3:30p weekdays with on-call coverage and potential to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Operate, maintain repair and install all utility systems such as heating, ventilation, electricity, water, air conditioning and refrigeration within the building to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all patients, staff and visitors.

Schedule and performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all utility systems.

Maintains high standards and appearance of physical plant, mechanical rooms and maintenance shop.

Act as resource person and fill in on-call in supervisor’s absence.

• HVAC Technician license is required, EPA Universal Refrigerant certification preferred
• 3-5 years of HVAC Technician experience required
• Technical/Vocational School Graduate required
